Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If you don't see yours here, reach out β we're happy to help.
We review your personal credit reports from all three major bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion), deliver a plain-English analysis of what's on them, and help you dispute inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable items. Where possible, we also help you negotiate with creditors and collection agencies.
Yes. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives every consumer the right to dispute inaccurate information on their credit report. The Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) governs how companies like ours can operate β and we follow it strictly.
Absolutely. The FCRA allows you to dispute inaccuracies directly with the credit bureaus for free, and we encourage every consumer to understand their rights. Many people choose to work with a company like ours because the process is time-consuming, detail-heavy, and frustrating β but it is entirely your right to do it alone.
We serve clients in most states. Some states have specific credit services regulations that affect what we can offer. Reach out and we'll confirm whether we can work with you based on your state of residence.

No. We ask you to obtain your own reports from AnnualCreditReport.com (free) or directly from the bureaus. We do not perform hard credit inquiries on your behalf, so your score is not affected by working with us.
A dispute letter challenges the accuracy of an item with the credit bureau β used when information is wrong, incomplete, or unverifiable. A goodwill letter is sent to a creditor asking them to remove a legitimate late payment as a courtesy. We help with both.
Yes. We use encrypted document upload, secure communication channels, and follow strict data-handling practices. Your personal information is never sold or shared without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
No. Under federal law (CROA), we cannot charge you before services are performed. All fees are billed only after work has been completed. You also have a 3-business-day right to cancel any agreement without penalty.
Our pricing is fully transparent and published on our Pricing page. We offer three tiers (Credit Report Review, Full Analysis & Action Plan, and Ongoing Dispute Support), plus Γ la carte add-ons. No hidden fees.
Talk to us. We'll do our best to make it right. You also have a 3-day right to cancel after signing, and refunds are available for services not yet performed. See our Refund Policy for full details.
No. RR Consultants is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We provide credit report review, analysis, and dispute support services. If you need legal advice, we recommend consulting a licensed attorney in your state.
No β and any company that does is breaking the law. No legitimate credit repair company can guarantee a specific score increase or the removal of specific items. What we can guarantee is a thorough review, an honest analysis, and dedicated support through the dispute process.
No. Accurate, verifiable negative information can generally remain on your credit report for 7 years (10 years for some bankruptcies). What we can help with is challenging inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable items β and negotiating where possible.
It depends on your situation. Some disputes receive a bureau response within 30 days. Others take longer, especially if multiple rounds of follow-up are needed. During your consultation, we'll give you realistic timelines based on what's on your report.
We can't predict a specific number β and no one honestly can. Score changes depend on what's on your report, what gets removed or corrected, how old your accounts are, your credit utilization, and many other factors. What we focus on is accuracy and completeness of your report, which is the foundation of a healthy score.
If the bureau verifies an item, we review the response carefully. Sometimes a second dispute with additional documentation is warranted. Sometimes the item is accurate and must remain. We'll walk you through the outcome honestly and discuss your options.
We're happy to talk through your specific situation β no pressure, no obligation.
